My client are an engineering company who have a great reputation within the UK process industry sectors for technical knowledge, customer service and customer satisfaction. They partner with the leading manufacturers and have extensive in-house manufacturing, assembly and service facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Help develop stock control and stock purchasing processes
* Help with planning requirements for manufacturing and service divisions
* Help with developing and upgrading the Scheduling system
* Liaise with internal departments
* Help resolve any scheduling issues due to material shortage
* Identify problems and help improve processes
* Work within company's policies and objectives
* Complete additional tasks to meet departmental, development or change objectives

KEY OBJECTIVES

* Work within the objectives of our lean manufacturing processes
* Work to KPIs, measure and report to improve performance (efficiency of operations, customer lead times and stock integrity)
* Aim to meet and exceed good customer service levels whilst working to the Quality Assurance Systems

KNOWLEDGE

* Experience of Purchasing & conducting competitor research
* Experience of planning and scheduling Stock
* Experience of planning and scheduling Material
* Experience of scheduling software, ERP systems, Excel

EXPERIENCE

* Stock Management or purchasing experience would be advantageous
* Previous experience of Planning and Scheduling in manufacturing industry would be advantageous
* Working within an engineering environment would be advantageous

SKILLS

* Computer literate
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks
* Resilience to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail

* Ability to work independently or part of a team and maintains positive working relationships with others

Salary for the position si £22,000 - £26,000 plus bonus
