About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Workshop Controller to join our team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the daily workflow of the workshop, prioritizing and allocating jobs to technicians.
Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and within agreed timeframes.
Liaise with customers to provide updates on their vehicle's status and ensure their satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain workshop productivity and efficiency, implementing improvements where necessary.
Oversee health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Manage workshop inventory and ensure adequate stock levels of parts and supplies.
Provide support and guidance to technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Handle any escalated customer issues or complaints professionally and effectively.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with both customers and staff.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Commitment to providing high standards of customer service.
Familiarity with workshop management software and systems is an advantage.
